Cadiz, nestled above Cafe Andaluz on George Street in Edinburgh, is a must-visit seafood haven. This elegant restaurant impresses diners with its stunning decor and outstanding service. Patrons rave about the attentive staff, with many noting personal touches that elevate their dining experience. The menu boasts an enticing array of seafood dishes. Starters like the Chorizo & Manchego Croquettes and Honeyed Goats' Cheese set a flavorful tone for the meal. The Beer Battered Haddock and Grilled Sea Bass are standout large plates, cooked to perfection and brimming with freshness. Scott Dixon praised the roasted North Atlantic cod, highlighting its exquisite brandy and mustard cream sauce, though he suggested a bit more vegetable accompaniment would enhance the dish. For dessert, the white chocolate and buttermilk panna cotta has drawn much acclaim, showcasing vibrant flavors that captivate the palate. Their cocktail selection, particularly the Old Fashioned, has also received high praise from guests, making it a perfect pairing for the culinary offerings. Whether you’re seeking a romantic dinner or a celebration with friends, Cadiz delivers a memorable experience with every visit. The combination of delightful dishes, attentive service, and an inviting atmosphere ensures that diners leave with nothing but glowing memories. Great food and service, atmosphere was good. Wish I had grabbed servers name, he was so polite and sweet, checked in with me often. I had steak and peppers, yum!

Cadiz is a well-established and popular seafood restaurant located above Cafe Andaluz on George Street, so the opportunity to enjoy three courses from 25 per person with friends in April was one I couldn’t turn down. For starters, I chose the gambas fritas - crisp-fried king prawns in a maple glaze with crispy rocket. The prawns were succulent and full of flavour, making this the perfect way to start the meal. My main course was the roasted North Atlantic cod served in a brandy and mustard cream sauce, accompanied by chorizo, fondant potato, spinach and salsa verde. The cod was perfectly cooked and tasty, although the dish would have benefitted from an additional portion of vegetables to make it feel more complete. For dessert, I opted for the white chocolate and buttermilk panna cotta with an apple, mint, and passion fruit compote which was a true showstopper. It was beautifully presented and packed with fresh, vibrant flavours. Drinks are priced in line with other city centre venues, with a pint of Mahou costing 7 and a small glass of wine at 6.95. Our waitress was friendly and attentive, and the service throughout was excellent. Cadiz consistently delivers an enjoyable dining experience in stylish and elegant surroundings. Highly recommended, especially for special occasions.

Very nice restaurant upstairs on George street. Lovely decor and great service with very attentive staff. The food was delicious and my favourite was the oysters. Although all courses were great. I had the oysters, maple glazed prawns, mussels as a main and cheesecake as a dessert. Would definitely recommend as a lovely quieter restaurant.

I was looking for somewhere to eat on my last night in Edinburgh. Looking over restaurants on google maps, close to my hotel, I saw ,Cadiz, I made a reservation and at my appointed time arrived. You go up a flight of stairs and are immediately transported to a beautiful restaurant environment with amazing decor. Server was right there to offer water and drink menu. I would recommend an Old Fashion, it was one of the best I'd ever had. I had a dessert with a main course called Arroz de Mariscos. Absolutely fantastic and very filling. A 2nd old fashion and then back to the hotel. A marvelous meal for my final day in Edinburgh. According to the menu the have Paella on Sundays. Would love to try it. An amazing restaurant highly recommend it!

I can't recommend this place enough! The food was absolutely outstanding, especially the Spiced King Prawns and North Atlantic Cod—perfectly fresh and delicious. The value for money with the three-course itison voucher was a steal, and the service was friendly and efficient. The atmosphere was spot on, making it a perfect spot for a meal out. I’ll definitely be back!
